Celebrations at Sight Centre

 19.03.2010  Local MP, Andrew George, today joined victory celebrations for local blind marksmen following a national blind rifle shooting competition in Wolverhampton.

Sight Centre users and members of the Cornwall Association of Blind Shooters – Liz Ashley and David Golbourne – won bronze and gold respectively at the competition in Wolverhampton recently.

Mr George was also shown around the Sight Centre (this morning - Friday 19th March) to view the services on offer from the Cornwall Blind Association – a charity dedicated to improving the lives of visually impaired people in Cornwall.

Linda Petzing – the Penwith Co-ordinator of the Cornwall Blind Association – welcomed Mr George to the Sight Centre and explained its work. Mr George also met local volunteers, Joan Bolger, Chris Luff and Maureen Ward.
